The Bulldog Racing Engines 360 had a good night at LA Raceway. Starting outside the front row for the 20 lap A-Main put Alumbaugh into the lead at the drop of the green flag. Austin held down the front spot for 15 laps despite two early cautions. Lapped traffic allowed Jonathan Cornell to slip below in the turn to go on and win the event. The heated battle continued to the checkered flag between the two top runners.
"I wished I had tried more lanes while out front. The crew did a awesome job setting up the car for tonight's feature. The car was really good and I felt comfortable." commented Alumbaugh.
With an identical starting spot in the 305 feature, outside the front row, Austin chased Mitchell Moore to the white flag. With the white flag in the air, Alumbaugh coasted to a stop at the exit of turn four with a broken gearbox forcing the team to a 12th place finish. The 305 did find winners' circle in the second heat race of the night.
